I finally have something to run a 4-player setup and plugged in Turtles in Time as it's my only 4-player board I currently have. Everything looked great in the IO Test mode except the start button on 4P. I went as far as removing the kick harness I was using for 4P and used a wire to jump pin 10...

Ah, so it's not the Sega harness. The IO I have is very similar: https://imgur.com/TmOErdl I'll see if one of my friends will let me throw this IO into their Vewlix F and see what happens lol. I've reached out to them for part inquiries before and they have been very helpful and responsive.

I'm a bit of a rookie too when it comes to arcade hardware, but have a Delta32 with a similar IO (model 080709). All of the wiring from what I can tell is essentially Sega.

I don't have a Vewlix or Taito harness to test, but I believe the pinout for a RiverService I/O is meant for a Sega harness.

I totally agree with Alpha 3 being a meh game, Alpha 2 is the one to play imo. Also, don’t discount the American 3S players. The original Frankie 3S from SoCal showed Japan how to play Denjin ;)
