    Primal Rage arcade (Help needed)

Apologies, Eruption2405. I was looking at the screenshot in the user manual of page 5 and saw that it listed SRAM / DRAM in the type of devices you could choose, so thought it would be compatible. After looking at the supported device list...

    Primal Rage arcade (Help needed)

I've never used or seen that EPROM programmer before, so I can't tell you exactly what to do. Did it come with a manual or any software? If not, I think the manual, USB driver and software installer linked below should be compatible. From a quick glance at the manual it looks like the...

    Primal Rage arcade (Help needed)

So it sounds like some of the RAM IC's might be faulty otherwise if it was a TTL logic issue, the error message would have stayed the same when you swapped the RAM over. Most EPROM programmers will be able to test RAM IC's, so if you know of someone who has one, you might be able to get them to...

    Primal Rage arcade (Help needed)

Sounds like you might have a fault with one of the SRAM's used for the work RAM which I think might be located at 21K and 21M/N on the main CPU board. They should be socketed, so they are nice and easy to remove. Hopefully you have the means to test them. If not, you could try swapping them...

Taito NinJawarriors Color RAM Error Help

That's not something I can easily answer, sorry. I use a logic analyser that analysers the selected IC whilst the board is being powered. Yes, Fuji MB8464's are a compatible replacement and listed on that page I linked to. Just make sure you get the narrow DIP 300-mil type as they come in...

Taito NinJawarriors Color RAM Error Help

Toshiba TMM2063 RAM IC's (especially the glossy ones) are a common failure point on boards from this era. If you have replacement 64Kb RAM IC's, you could try the piggyback method — placing a known working RAM IC on top of each of the six existing ones, one at a time, then powering on the board...

My first arcade contract. Input welcome

Probably not, more likely to be a ROM or RAM issue if it's freezing at the exact same spot each time.

My first arcade contract. Input welcome

I don't know about the Tetris bootleg PCB, but the Atari PCB uses a 28C04 eeprom to save settings and high scores. I've seen the eeprom die before, so might be worth checking if the bootleg has one and if so, swapping it out (I think there's an initialising process you have to do when swapping...
