Yeah, that's how open source projects work. But if you really want supports for more controllers or more arcade titles that require unusual configurations, you'd better to buy the original one so that the author don't lose his motivation. This isn't a retro thing, but a product that lives today...

Oh, really?! I already have a SOP to DIP adapter. Which programming software do you use? I'm using Topall Ver8.37(2018-04-24), but it does not have the MX26L6420 or similar device name in the "Select chip" menu.
