I have a RE2 which fails to recognise any charge from the battery (ie. even a new one fails to boot without assistance on the reset line as described earlier). Also if I leave the coin cell in, it will drain to 0 after a few days. Seems to be a short or something in my unit. Indicates there...
Up to a Noctua U9S will fit, but that prevents use of the stock 2.5" HDD mounting, so maybe 5-10mm less than whatever the U9S is should probably be considered the max. Thinking ~110mm max to be safe. The CPU doesn't run particularly hot though, so I don't think cooler choice matters too much...
Yeah my 660 as well didn't spin one fan. I thought I broke it while cleaning. Anyway I got brand new replacement fans and the issue still remains. The fans themselves are certainly fine, it's what's driving them that is for some reason not telling them to spin imho
Thanks for sharing everything above peeps. I think i will try to add another solution in the form of 3d printed mounts to anchor the meta mounting frame. Will be a good weekend project soon.
I have this manual. Have been meaning to scan it in, but don't have a flatbed scanner at the moment. In the meantime if there is anything specific you need I can take some pics and translate for you.
Hi all,
i would like to replace my namco noir with an lg 32” monitor. I tore down the monitor casing of the noir and unfortunately it appears that all the metal framing is actually part of the stock monitor, unlike how it is with vewlix etc. So I can’t see an easy way to mount my lg panel in...
is the original version a windows embedded / iot variant? If so this is sounding susiciously like a windows activation issue. I believe when embedded variants of windows go into trial mode (which likely kicks in when putting the drive in another system which it wasnt installed activated on) it...
well that is indeed interesting because my unit appears to run just fine until about 20 mins into a session, so sounds like it could be just that. I may just bite the bullet and shelve the mobo and replace it with a vanilla matx board.
anyway for now my x2 is doing duty again in the cab, shame...
If any of the aussie crew find any 660 / 680 / 760 gpu for one of these units not going for crypto craze prices, please let me know as i need another gpu to try to eliminate a problem with my unit. Murray i think i was speaking with you on emuline about my gpu issue (one fan spinning...
I made some basic mounts to hold the LG 32MP558HQ monitor in place in a Vewlix F monitor frame. It may support other non-Chewlix models, but I have none to test with. This is all completely non-destructive and reversible.
Elsewhere on the forums there is a more professional solution to this...
Hi Hackcell, yeah routing the frame ground through to the middle of the AC outputs would be handy. I guess it would just need to run across the top side of the PCB to not disturb the AC lines.
As for the -5V I am indeed taking this from 12V and it's entirely intentional, as if you feed 5V in...
Just to follow up on this, my board is fully assembled. Adds -5v via the negatron which you normally won’t get with the nvs4000. Now i can run fussy boards like mortal kombat with no tuning required. From the outside you would be none the wiser. Its s niche use case but one i was personally...
