Bummer to have to post my first negative feedback thread on here.

I ordered 5 EZ Swap PCB Holders from @NFGx on June 4, 2026. They shipped them out on June 15th, from Australia to New Mexico, USA. On June 24th, the package stopped moving, in Denver. What has followed has been the strangest experience I've had with a seller on AP.

I've posted the transcripts for full transparency below, but here's a basic summary of salient points:

July 2: I ask NFGx to make an inquiry since the package hadn't moved in over a week
July 3: NFGx tells me he will check with AusPost after the weekend but 1) he is sure they will tell him to deal with USPS and 2) not to worry, what happens in these cases is that the item is moving along but the tracking number isn't
July 6: I ask him to file a claim with USPS to get them looking for the package, which he does not want to do give any of his information to "a business in a country as lax with this stuff as yours." Later that day he says that he has initiated a claim with AusPost.
July 16: NFGx says he heard back from AusPost who told him to file a claim with USPS. I ask him to file a claim with USPS. He doesn't want to, so I get the relevant info from him and file it myself
July 22: I ask NFGx to take some initiative about the situation (make inquiries, send me a replacement, refund, think of SOMETHING) and he refuses, seemingly befuddled.
July 24: NFGx says he will only do anything if the package eventually gets marked lost, otherwise he will take no action.
Aug 17: I finally get a response to my claim with USPS which simply says they have received my claim. I share it with NFGx. No response.
Aug 18: I formally ask for a refund. He refuses unless it is officially marked lost (a process which he has thus far been reticient or outright refused to enter into.) He says that he did in fact file a claim just five days ago, two months after shipping, which is the earliest that AusPost will accept a claim. This is the second time he has claimed to have taken some action without notifying me, and only after I have expressed my frustration. Not sure what to believe.

TLDR: Items lost in post, seller didn't want to make a claim with USPS so I did it, nothing has come of it, seller has refused any action until I asked for a refund today, now he says he did make a claim a few days ago and won't do anything for me until he gets all his money back from shipper.

I've never dealt with a seller who is so unwilling to do anything for the buyer in a case like this, to the point where he wouldn't even make a USPS claim after I asked him to. Never received any offer of any sort of refund, replacement, sharing of the 3d print files, or any kind of half-way measure, and I have been told repeatedly by the seller that I am inexperienced and unreasonable for even considering that any of that should occur.

Sucks for both parties when items get lost in the mail. But to be treated like this when asking for basic responsibility from the seller seems wild to me. Earlier on, I just wanted NFGx to do ANYTHING. I don't believe I was asking for anything unreasonable, despite being told repeatedly that I was. At this point, I don't want to do any business with him anymore, I don't want the items, I just want a refund.

Hey all. I don't want to get too deep into the weeds with this, but:

1. In 30-ish years of selling and shipping stuff the number of things that were actually permanently lost is now two, and I'm not even sure about the first one, and there's still time for this to be delivered.
2. I can't control the post office in any country. If anyone wants to blame me for what USPS does, by all means, go for it.

I stand by my stuff and I have offered both replacement and refund (when the process is completed) and I think that's as fair as I can be. I have apologized to Mx. FrAshi several times, and maintain that this is not my fault or something I am responsible for.

The situation sucks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

… and maintain that this is not my fault or something I am responsible for.
This is the core conflict - I agree that it is not your fault, but it is your responsibility and getting you to take any action has been like pulling teeth. I know you don’t agree with that perspective but it seems pretty straightforward - you as seller are responsible to the buyer who paid you, and the shipper you used is responsible to you.

I really don't see the problem here, but understand the frustration. - If something gets lost it takes time to figure it out (weeks or even months)

NFGx is responsive and does not ghost you. - Chill a bit and wait.

I wouldn't refund either if the parcel service hasn't closed the case, yet - Since there are too many IFs (no not the movie).

Enjoy your day and game!

Sorry, but I'm siding with NFGx here. Asking him to file a claim in _your_ country is not reasonable.

If you're sending me something in Japan and the shipping company somehow loses it here, would I ask you to learn Japanese and phone their (Japanese-only) customer support? Absolutely not.

Best thing to do is file a request in the country of origin and let them handle it, which is exactly what NFGx did.

Ha no one is expecting someone to learn a language and board a frigate. This is filling out a short internet form, it is as complicated as posting on this forum, and it is what AusPost said to do. To my understanding, shipping services generally expect the shipper to do this, as the receiver is not their client.

Definitely a bad situation for both buyer and seller. The item delayed or lost is not the fault of either. This is part of doing business both seller and buyer should understand. Delays and lost packages happen.

I don't think its unreasonable that NFGx would want to wait for the entire process to be completed first before issuing a refund or a replacement. He made that very clear in the messages. Not only that he reassured you that the item was insured and that a refund would be issued if the outcome concluded by the Postal Service that it was lost.

Yes it sucks to wait but we can't rush these things even if it takes months to confirm.
