They are available in 3 options

3V - comes with inverter and 2x AA battery holder

5V - Inverter with USB-A connection

Order the 5V version. Your mileage may vary but these worked for me

Edit: removed direct link to seller, but there are heaps of options for the same thing

Hello @xodaraP, I just send your PCBs to the manufacturer. I recently picked up this bad boy. Can't wait to tweak it :)

Thank you for your amazing work :)

Post pictures once you get it up and running - nice cab!

It could be very helpful if you produced the BOM and positioning files from Kecad so you can buy the components and have them assembled directly by the PCB printer.

I’m not familiar with how to do that in KICAD as I’m fairly new to it, but I included a BOM on the GitHub

It was also the reason I deliberately used all through hole parts to make self assembly easier

As an open source project if someone is able to make the changes they can

The best part is that by doing everything with KeCAD, you save a lot on components.
For example, by ordering the assembled board, I can order the components from JLPCB and avoid placing a new order from a new supplier.
If you have the KeCAD project to share, as well as the Geber, which is not editable, I can help you make this change.
It would be great because here in Italy the cost is excessive if you order the pieces separately.

Thanks

That one will work fine and A6 is the correct size

Make sure you order with a 5V inverter. I’m not sure if Glow Hut supply theirs as a USB connection, may be worth messaging them to double check

If not and they are wire termination, leave the USB connectors off the board and connect the wires to the positive and negative through holes

Hey guys. Is the project fully working? Just asking because I've tested it and it did not work. My PCB overheated. Don't know if its my 4-slots or the pcb board or the code. I've read that bugs were present. Is this has been sorted?

Hi,
I have been running mine for a while and haven’t heard of any issues from others, there are a few people running them now

When you say your PCB is overheating, are you referring to the NGMD or the 4 slot board?

No issues here. Have had mine running for long stretches and also sold a number of units on the store with no issues reported.

Can you post a picture of your build and also a link to the IL panels you’re using?

When you say you’ve read that bugs are present, where was that?

I'm waiting to receive a Neo Geo SC19 that I bought from China, it's currently on its way! I saw this post and it’s been super helpful, thank you so much. I'm not very skilled at soldering, but I think it turned out pretty good. Once I get the EL panels and the Neo Geo home, I'll test it out. THANKS A MILLION!!! :D:D
