@mathewbeall : Thanks for the reply!
- Comparing information would be awesome!
- Do you use wipi or somthing different
- which games do you run with "working" ffb?
- Does your wheel shake while uploading game image?
- which wheel do you use?
- Take your time to answer!
Minor Update:
Talked to Fred of openFFB (https://github.com/Fredobedo/openFFB) - He updated his git with a wiring diagram for chihiro. That wiring diagram matches the above logic:
The chihiro connector is CN6 (on th chihiro) and pin 1 is on the left (while the naomis connector is turned 180°...
Hello everybody,
currently im trying to figure out how to get FFB running with a naomi2, Aganytes PCB and Logiteh G25/G29 and would love to get a bit input, since i can't get it to work.
Running a Naomi2 with Wipi Image
Running/Testing with Logitech G25 and Logitech G29 wheels. (One is only...
Oh! Thanks a lot for sharing. I knew of this setting, but never thought of a wheel rotation limiter.
The G25,G27,G29 wheels have a 900° rotation
900*0.3 = 270
Nice find!
Did you open and check your carts for visible problems? - you can always post photos, maybe we see something you don't :)
I have never fixed naomi game carts, only noamis :( (i am located in germany)
Interesting idea that FW4.03 may cause such problems if it is not detected correctly by wipi. Good to know! (while never running into that problem myself i got multiple friends who had that issue)
FW 4.03 is able to run net boot. It is just a hacked 4.02 to be able to run CD Rom copies. But if...
The ERROR 22 is 99% a connection issue between the DIMM and the main board.
please check the white connectors on the naomi if there are small pieces stuck in the connector. Check if the dimm can make full contact with the naomi (you can remove the top cover from the naomi and seat the netdimm...
If you add a dynamic placeholder to the batch file for the game / rom name you can add it to steam as "custom game" and add all games easily that way. - Love the above suggestion!
( do you need more details how to do so?)
... sorry for double post.
Did neo-arcadia remove the registration button/form? - Friend of mine wanted to register/add himself to the list, but registration seems to be gone?
I really wonder if somehow you blew up your JVS connection on the naomi side.
If you like you could send me your naomi to test the I/O / Naomi for you (i live in germany, not sure if shipping is expensive). Just an offer if you don't have any other noami, I/Os to test it with.
I have some work...
Do you have a MAK strike/Supergun for jamma - Just connect it to the jamma connector, which should be enough to power up that i/o
You did test your HAT with he Naomi Setup -> Test JVS, yes? :)
I am using the 485 converter as well. No problem with it.
Does your naomi, within the setup - JVS test menu, see the JVS pcb/connection? - maybe your naomi is faulty?
What i would do and check (not in any logic order :D) :
write a simple linux to a new sdcard and use the available tools/tests within the openjvs HAT guide to test if the hat / jvs connection is working
same checks can be run with the wipi ssh shell, but by installing a simple linux i would...
