I think the Ali adapters might be clones of the Axunworks products. I bought two of the Ali DB15 to SAT adapters; first one, all of the button inputs were DOA. Second one, B6 didn't work. I eventually gave up and bought an Arthrimus adapter, no regrets.

Sorry, are you saying that you're trying to boot it without a JVS I/O connected? That may explain why it isn't starting up, but you should at least get the no JVS connected error. It also won't boot without the correct GPU installed, so that might also explain things if I'm understanding...

I'm not sure there is a usable USB port on the I/O but you could probably add a small power strip or some other breakout inside the cab to plug in a USB power source without too much hassle.
