Filter is fixed, ended up getting a cheap version off eBay as CKD ones are £80! Game kept resetting etc, had bad pin connections so I ordered all of the JST connectors & pin headers. A tip for anyone else, it's easier to destroy the old pin headers than try & desolder them, I used hot air on the...

Update time :) OK, it all powered up with no bangs or smoke!! New tyre fitted but the water/oil filter is leaking air so fixing that now. The fuse blowing on the power board was due to it being set to the wrong voltage! I'd never changed this and assumed it was OK as the monitor is marked...

So I've recapped the entire chassis, I don't have a service manual. anyone know where to test the B+ voltage? There seems to be loads of variations on this board so any help would be great. The PCB says 5A00185C1. I can se the pot (full of silicone!)

I figured as I was ordering capacitors anyway I'd replace the only other remaining original caps! I'm replacing all caps on the amp boards (SJ25-0091-02 x 2 & 601-6228 x 1) & a board I think controls the airdrive or fan?? Part number is 400-5101. Anyone got any info on this board? F2 was blown...

W: Thunder Blade repairs in the EU ? Or buy sega x pcb.

Yeah I've spoken at length with Ken and he thinks the board is beyond repair. I got my other board working but seems a waste to give up on this one!

Arh, no worries, probably a bad ROM/socket. Although RAM will cause problems in certain area's! Out of interest who's looking at it? I'd love to revive my other X board!! Cheers

Post up pictures of the graphics issue. I have a system X board but it is dead at the moment. Does TB have the self test function?
