    CPS1 Repair Help

so my soldering iron has been refusing to work a lot recently, I decided to see if I could do a reflow and sure enough it didn't want to work. thinking about what else I could do I decided to program a new LWCHR PAL ... and sure enough that fixed the major issue the board was having! I've...

    CPS1 Repair Help

It worked the same on a different A-Board, then worked better after putting it back on the original A-Board. but yes I agree... lose trace vibes.

    CPS1 Repair Help

I recently picked up an original non-working Forgotten Worlds board set. This had some repair work done previously but looks to have had some additional issues come up. It's a game I've really wanted as an original board set and it's a numbers matching A and B board set so I'm interested in...

    Finnicky Spinner Behavior LS-29

alignment shouldn't matter to much so long as the windows are clean and not chewed up. otherwise it's likely an optical board issue. different spinners have different resistor setups depending on whether the game board has pull-ups or pull-downs so it's possible that your board is fine too just...

    Exa system Died on me

Well the error message shows python scripts related to what I would guess are windows drivers. while it does say "Unlock", "set_state" is generally used in regards to threading so it could simply be referring to unlocking a safe thread rather than something security related. if it is indeed...

    Exa system Died on me

normally I'm a fan of fixing yourself but I'd rather not recommend that until trying through exA directly has been exhausted. keep us posted as to the result, it'd be good to know what fixes this, or how the exA repair process goes for others who might run into this.

    Exa system Died on me

Did you buy this directly from exA/an official distributor? if so... contact them. Unlike buying decades old hardware 2nd hand. exA is "still supported" and part of what you're paying for when buying new and direct. is support for when it malfunctions.

WTB Wanted by twistedsymphony (I bet you no one has any of this for sale)

I think a lot of people have this same mindset as I've been offered about 4 different Batsugun boards. Problem is I have leads on 2 boards in Japan Shops at $1600 and $1800 and people are sending me offers in the $2500-$3000 range. So I mean I'd rather buy local than risk international shipping...

WTB Options for Candys with Rotate Monitors?

interesting the E29 has 2 wingnuts for the monitor, and 2 thumbscrews for the bezel. biggest issue with E29 is that the chassis is mounted to the cab body, not the tube, so you can easy neck the tube if you rotate in a way that pulls the wires to the neck board taut.

WTB Options for Candys with Rotate Monitors?

Taito Egret 29 also has a rotate Mech, very expensive and hard to find cab though. ^This most of these cabs with rotate mechs are so expensive it's more cost effective to just buy 2 cabs without a rotate mech and leave one in each position.

same, I also like the subtle dive of the sub.

    Uo Poko Control Panel

I don't know, I think those changes make it too sterile, like everything is aligned in a grid. I'd at least leave the sub where it was and the player 1/2 lables as they are. then you can just move the cave logo next to the Jaleco logo and increase/center the uopoko logo

FS Selling a bunch of Boards - Updated 2024-02-11

no controller, just the card. I think there was an effort to adapt an off-the-shelf RC controller for use in the game. it's just 2 analog channels (trigger and wheel)
