Also, those boards were made in an era before lead-free solder was mandated. Mixing lead-free and leaded solder together can lead to solder joints failing over time. So always use leaded solder on arcade PCBs. I'm not even sure if any arcade PCBs were made after the mandatory switchover to...

Sweet. My add-on pack of the Dip-Switch extender and kick-harness connectors arrived today. The Dip-Switch remote board is super easy to solder on. Great fit job! I'm hoping that I can find some help this weekend to finally get all three multi-boards into my cabinet and figure out the wiring...

Yeah. The manual looks incredibly good and straightforward. Well done!

My Dynamo HS-5 cab is a stereo cab with a Q-Sound amp inside there. The 3D stereo effect is more of a "hey, did I hear something over my shoulder?" type thing and not the full-fledged 3D amazement that modern surround-sound provides.

Make that three of us. I've had projects in my house ongoing for now five years. The pandemic kind of hit a pause button on everything for me, then a torn rotator cuff completely put everything on hold. My Dynamo HS-5 is now apart as I try to figure out where to put all three boards, the...

I'd like to order a small fry and a double cheeseburger........ oh wait, different type of order. Carry on, carry on. Definitely looking forward to the dip-switch remote board to be available, and now that I see the dual crystal item there, I can see myself holding out for that too. Haha.

Ahhhh, thank you. I had missed that part of it somehow. Perhaps in a future revision of the guide, the parts on the multi that the user would need to know about could be pointed out somehow? Kind of the like the diagrams are given for the backs of A/V receivers at the start of those manuals?

Just out of curiosity, what is that little switch for right by the C-board Connection on the Multi? What is the difference between Off and On and what should it be set to when running the multi? There isn't a whole lot of documentation/information on the board yet (for obvious reasons as it's...

Yeah. The dips can really mess things up if not set right. My cabinet is in pieces so I haven't had a chance to even test out my kit, but I'll likely wait until the remote boards are available as the dip-switches are nigh impossible to access with the CPS1 kit installed in the cabinet.

Any word on when the program to allow us to load ROMS onto this thing will be made available? Granted, I have a lot of other things I need to make this kit work so won't get to use it right away, but I was just wondering if this is expected this week, next week, next month, next year? :)

Multi-Kit arrived safely today. Can't wait to get the time to play with this thing. :)

Mine is on a delivery truck that is certainly taking its time to get here. Heh. Not in a huge rush, however, as my cabinet is pretty much in pieces as I figure out what cables to route and where. Trying to cram all three CPS multi-boards in one Dynamo HS-5 without making any modifications to...

Sweet. Got my estimated delivery date. Will be having fun later next week. :) I'm guessing that when Mitsu has the additional PCBs ready (for maybe an LCD condenser PCB and for passing the JAMMA audio through the RCA connectors?) those will be posted about here in the CPS1 forum, or should I...

I got my shipping number in my e-mail this morning. Woo-hoo!!!! Now the only wait will be the additional adapter boards and whatnot that are apparently in the works so I can bypass my complicated audio wiring schema. Haha.

That's great to hear, because I was working on a complicated setup for mine that involved many switches, etc. Will also allow me to remove some needless cable routing too!

With the number of good brains existing around here, I'm pretty sure someone will figure out an extension of some type for the dip switches so we could have the dip-switches as accessible as the LCD screen is. Since I will need to go into my cabinet to change games on the LCD screen anyway, if...

Official: CPS1 (CPS1.5) Multi by Darksoft/Apocalypse - Interest Check Thread

Nice. Makes the wait more worth it. I'm still working on wire routing and everything else in my cabinet so have plenty of time to adjust based upon what goodies come out. :)

I'll be doing the same thing. I have a Q-Sound amp in my Dynamo HS-5 which has RCA Inputs. I take the mono JAMMA signal through a Line-Output-Conditioner and then feed the dual-mono output through a volume knob and then into the receiver. For Stereo inputs on the CPS2/CPS3 boards, I directly...
