Connecting Naomi 2 to a Vewlix cab problems

I tried with 2 Vewlix cabs, using a DVI (Vewlix) to VGA (Naomi) adapter- no picture (monitor is a 4K upgrade). The audio makes a loud, rapid clicking noise. Power connected with the 2 molex connectors from Vewlix. Is this a recognised problem? The Naomi isn't faulty as it works in a Net City. Do...

Taito X2 vertical upside down problem on Vewlix

I've got a Vewlix with vertical monitor, and tried a few vertical games with a Taito X2 multigame system- various Raidens & Giga Wing Generations. They are upside down, so I tried settings, which are in Japanese. Anyone know the translation/what to select to flip the vertical 180 degrees? Here...

Finding Afterburner Climax (analogue joystick version)

I've got the Marco 9.6 multi with 'Afterburner Climax (VGA only)' listed under 'Special Hardware Games', so basically unplayable currently. However, I note that the current rom list has the game in the 'joystick games' section (i.e. playable!) as 'After Burner Climax (Analog stick game) VGA...

Cheap fluorescent tubes for candy cabs (Egret II, Sega cabs etc)

Hopefully this is useful info for the community. I needed some new tubes for an Egret II and Net City, and the original FL20S Japanese 100V tubes are expensive and hard to find, like $50+ each. After some research, I found a cheap alternative for new tubes in UK/Europe. Importantly, fluorescent...

Lindbergh multi 9.6- which Xbox360 controller?

I bought an original M$ Xbox360 wired controller (the Battleforce 4 special one). It is recognised by the Lindbergh (plugged into a USB socket on the Lindbergh) but doesn't work. Precisely which versions of the original Xbox360 controller work with the multi 9.6 setup (I realise clone non-MS...

Piforce SD card questions and other Naomi Q&As

Q&A time! Maybe this would be useful as an FAQ? - If you add games to the roms folder, does it automatically update the LED display list on booting or do you need to edit a games list file? If the latter, any tools to help with this, or how do you do this? - Can larger SDs than 32GB be used...

SCSI to SD Adapter (SCSI2SD) V6 issue (as CDROM replacement in CPS3 Darksoft multi setup)

Hi guys, I recently bought a CPS3 system with included Darksoft multi and CDROM/Darksoft disc. All works fine. As a backup for the CDROM drive failing in the future, I bought a SCSISD from the Amiga Store (http://amigakit.amiga.store/product_info.php?products_id=1314). Copied the CD onto a...

Hi guys. I'd be really grateful for some advice :-) I've got a Sega New Astro City with Nanao MS9 monitor, with monitor control board (located near joystick panel) 05A00675C1 (see HD photo, below). All works fine except for occasional brightness shifting between dark and normal brightness...
