Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Thanks for letting me know. I'll probably just save up for a proper cable and device. It probably needs a raw unfiltered signal or something. I'm not going to get the kind of circuit that relies on pots, too much work. I do have a few AD725s, but I definitely couldn't get it to work.

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

I'm using my 1.7 standard minigun and I constructed a cable to connect to a RGB to YPbPr circuit but I'm getting no output. Maybe I'm not supposed to use any caps or resistors in the converter circuit? It will be a while before I actually get a proper SCART cable with OSSC/RetroTink...

Neo Geo MVS MV-1A Won't Go Beyond Garbage Screen

Yeah, I'm going to have to order the Neo-Buf parts from a pcb fabricator as furrtek has none for sale. But considering what's going on in China, it will be quite a while before I finally fix this unit.

Neo Geo MVS MV-1A Won't Go Beyond Garbage Screen

Yes. It registers 5V on the bottom legs according to the voltmeter. And there was no battery leakage. The board is more or less satisfactory clean. If a backup data error causes this wouldn't the screen be brighter and be more solid like your typical Neo Geo boot sequence? And I installed the...

Neo Geo MVS MV-1A Won't Go Beyond Garbage Screen

I bought a junk MVS MV-1A in hopes of an easy repair, but when I turn it on, I get this bizarre screen. I've replaced all the capacitors, cut the 12V leg on that voltage regulator, replaced the smaller 32.768 crystal, and removed the battery. Thank you.

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Solved my little problem, I used the wrong size barrel connector with the power adapter. Lights up. Now I have to construct another RGB to Component Video adapter. I've made one for my integrated MVS and it works great. But reading a few pages back where a user bought the RGB to VGA board makes...

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Phew I was worried for a bit, so I must have gotten a defective board. Will have to wait for a bit to test tho.

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Really foolish question, but you turn on the device by pressing the tact switches right? Not by the slide switch? I finally built a 1.7 Standard but haven't populated a few parts yet, especially the tacts. I wonder if anybody has made a youtube video detailing this device or any revision.

Minigun Supergun - An Open Source Supergun

Is there anything I need to do to make the Standard Mini-Gun work on +5V only, like a Neo Geo MV1B or C? I installed most of the components on my pcb except for the tact switches, the molex, and the mini-din connector. When I flip the switch, the light doesn't turn on, and no output. Thank you.
