1) 12Mhz crystalExcept the crydtal, how to recognize a full 12mhz cps1?
It's known to be a good replacement for the OG CPS-A-01.Last question, what do you think about COMCO PSCO-A-01 to repair custom chip?

Humm... I remember it wasn't cheap but not sure who the manufacturer is. AMC?Please could you specify the part number for the socket used in this thread? https://www.arcade-projects.com/for...amous-cps-a-01-cps1-a-board-custom-chip.7428/
I suspect of a faulty CPS-A-01 in a CPS1 board and I have a spare chip, but I'm not sure if it's toasted too... so being able to test it before soldering to the final board would be really nice.
Did you ever confirm that this is the right part number for the swap/fix? Working on repairing and hopefully upgrading some dead A-boards. I think I have 3 laying around. So long as you know the donor crystal is good! I assume that cps2 A board is dead, because if it isn’t please don’t kill it. Just buy a new crystal, they’re cheap.
I don’t have measurements on me but I think this is the right size: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/ecs-inc/ECS-100A-120/X126-ND/79217 regardless I’m sure you can find a new crystal.
I tried an oscillator from Farnell and it didn't work. This one was recommended in the other thread and I can confirm it worked fine: https://www.ebay.es/itm/401396958941
No, it has to be 12.00000 MHz
