FS 6-in-1 Jamma Switch

For Sale
shit sorry, so into MVS multi now that I didn't realize you where talking about CPS2 :whistling:

I have my LCD mounted to the CPS2 case, so I need to access into my cab anyway to switch games, so can easily hit the test button on the CPS2 if needed...

But going back to your original question; you could just open up your PSU and attach 2 additional wires to the existing switch and wire it anywhere you want with a push switch.

lol yeah figured you may be talking about the MVS

So sounds like its that easy to add that to the psu, I wont get shocked from it even after its unplugged from the wall?

I will try to take a look at it over the weekend and see what I can come up with.

yup, easy enough, just crack the PSU open.

You could either add a 2nd switch and piggyback of the first one or extend the existing cables and move your switch to where you want.
I would add a 2nd to leave the PSU intact as is ;)

Rather than open up your psu it may be easier to just splice into your jamma loom, the jamma loom is connected to the psu by JVS series (I think) plugs. Pin 15 of the jamma connector is "Test" connect that to 1 terminal of a momentary push switch https://www.jaycar.com.au/electromechanical-components/switches/pushbutton/c/220C , then use any ground from the jamma connector (pins 1,A,2,B,27,e,28,f) and connect that to that other terminal of your push switch.

Great, that seems easier to me than opening the PSU.

Actually thinking about it there are two JVS connectors going into the PSU.

Not sure which is which as there are too many wires. But I guess answering my own questions I would just find pin 15 on the Jamma connector and use a multimeter to check continuity and make sure I have the same pin.

Ah but looking at the pic below I see that it has a pinout showing test on the left connector being the bottom row 3rd from right?

I can't make it out in the pic and i'm not at home to check in my astro or the manual on my pc but yeah if you want to double check the wires just unplug the connector and check continuity (from JVS to jamma plug), however the pins I reference above were actually taken from the astro city manual.

A quicker test for confidence would be to check continuity across any ground pin (1,A,2,B,27,e,28,f) and pin 15, it should be open circuit until you press the test button.
