So I keep looking for a working Air Busters PCB and keep coming up snake eyes. I got this one and here is what it's doing.
1. The back ground looks OK, but the sprites to include the title screen, and power bars, are blinking fast, sort of like how old Genesis transparency was done.
2. Audio is SUPER low. Even on the max setting with the TV way up, I can barely hear it.
That being said, there is a repair on the JAMMA edge, and some sort of black goo near the sound section. See pics.
Running my fingers, resetting chips, and bending the board has no change. The custom chip looks fine and no damaged legs.
One weird thing is on the HAS 5.0 you can swap the -/+ for the audio, (helps with some bootlegs that have reverse audio, like Garegga), and when I enable this feature, the audio gets much louder, but still low.
Any ideas were to trouble shoot, or should I just return this one as well and keep looking for a working one.
