9999 Damage
Grand Master
Hi, I'm new here. I've played games since I was a little kid, starting with my dad's Apple IIe. I started collecting console games and hardware a few years ago, and got into more obscure aftermarket hardware (ODEs, A/V mods, MiSTer) in the last couple years. I always told myself I'd never get into arcade hardware because it's too big, pricey, and finicky. But OpenMVS is a console, so that doesn't count. Then I had to get a supergun and arcade PSU to verify the MV-1C worked. Then the floodgates opened, and now I'm buying all your consolization mods and making my own PGM 4P cables.
At this point, I have more money than time, so I still haven't learned to solder and have been a) shipping solder projects to retro console mod installers and b) seeking solder-free solutions like breakout boards.
First dumb question: how do I like posts?? So many people have posted valuable information and insights, announced amazing projects, and shared a perspective about what's worth the time and money. I want to acknowledge your contributions without junking up the forum with low-content replies, but for some reason I don't see like buttons on posts.
