Trying to gauge interest and see if this is even a viable market. I collect myself and have about 500 tapes in my current collection. I picked up a huge lot of about 2K more tapes and I am planning to cherry pick and add to my collection but then resell dupes and movies I have on other formats already. I will be working on getting together a list of titles over the coming week. I can share more pics or the list of titles if there is any interest. I would prefer to limit sales to like 5-10-20-100 tapes? For anything that's not rare I am estimating $1 per tape (so $2 for 2 VHS sets like Schindler's List) and willing to do bulk deals if you get a lot.
I also have about 8 VCR and DVD Combo players I could sell if anyone needs one of those. They vary in price but probably like $40-100 is a safe estimate, plus shipping.
So here's the list... out of the 2000 or so tapes I am going to be selling about 1200 titles and keeping the rest. There are a lot of dupes and some of them are 2+ VHS sets. These are all in acceptable to decent condition. As they sell I will show some pictures of lots people get so that you get an idea of the general condition. They are all guaranteed to be mold free but may be dusty or show signs of shelf wear/normal usage. Some have rental stickers or residue. There's a handful that have torn or damaged slipcovers, if you pick out one of them I will call it out and make sure you're ok with them before shipping, but it's only like 5-10 that I can remember. About 10-20 may have cracked windows but none are broken to the point where they have plastic floating around or open windows or just unplayable. Basically I pulled everything out that I wouldn't feel comfortable keeping myself and using in my own players. If there are multiple copies I will send out the best condition ones first come first served. If you need a picture of your titles before purchase I can accomodate that. I'll try to keep the list updated but this is going to be a big headache I'm sure. I prefer to ship USPS but I can look into UPS or FedEx if it's cheaper for some reason?
