Isn’t that supposed to be a problem with the volume pot? I don’t know what the replacement part would be, but it doesn’t from my know nothing vantage point seem like a super difficult fix.
Yes the volume pot on these is notoriously flaky... Literally I've had to replace it on 5 out of 5 CPS3 boards I've owned.

if you wiggle the pot back and forth and use some contact cleaner you can sometimes get it working again, but IMO you're just kicking the can down the road.

I have one where the pot is ok and the other one sound drops out and you have to tap the pot to bring it back. Definitely needs to be cleaned/replaced
I do repairs on CPS3, but if it just needs a new pot you'll be able to find someone closer than me to do that

It could also be the mob caps, i suggest you to also replace them preventively, please find a kit here.
