I own two of them, and the adjustment pots (CBC & Bright) are terrible. If you bump the control box or the table it is on even slightly, everything comes out of adjustment. It really, really sucks.

Is this common, or did I just end up with two bunk units? Anyone know of a fix?

Nah, the pots are crap with a low rating plus over time the carbon wears out and so does the wiper. You can just replace them.

Thanks for the info, XianXi. I'll try to desolder them tomorrow or Monday and see if I can figure out some direct replacements.

Do you have any recommendations for a superior pot to use for this application?

Best would be a higher wattage linear one but it would be easier to fit a direct replacement. Hopefully there isn't something loose in your supergun.

Apologies for the necro, but did you happen to get direct replacements?. I would like to replace mine if possible.

FWIW, I measured ~20k ohm but having trouble finding a rotary pot with 9 pins like in the pic below

Looks like a 3 Gang Pot, PC pin, side adjustment. Might be hard to find, if you do find one see if you can get a 1/2 watt one, most are 1/20th watt.

I was never able to find a replacement unfortunately. I removed the pots and soaked them in Deoxit overnight, cranked them back and forth a bunch and they work good enough now.

If you do find a replacement, please share, I'd love to get a couple as well.
