Hello guys, i need some kind help and advice, my Blast City cabinet’s original monitor failed, so I bought a Toshiba 9929 replacement. My friend swapped it in, but now it shows a blinking vertical line—the image briefly appears then collapses and blinks non-stop. its just seems like there is not enough power

Appreciate if anyone could advise, is the 9929 board incompatible with the Blast City cabinet?

thanks a lot!

Never seen anyone try the 9929 or other PF variant on a Blast tube before. Did someone advise you this worked or this was just an experiment?

I’m not sure which model to get for my Blast City and I found someone selling a 9929 and want to try it, it seems hard to get the correct one…Could anyone advise on the best board to choose? thanks again

@cma019 out of curiosity did you also swap the yoke.
I've heard rumors it might be possible.
But not with a chassis only.

Correct, the Blast stock monitor has a yoke that won't work with a PF.

Blast yoke is 0.200mH
PF is 0.300mH

^Do you know if any astro or pf yoke fits on the blast tube dimensions?
I'd like to get a blast but I'd immediately be swapping that.

Astro and PF monitors have very different shapes, I doubt the deflections angles are the same.

Keep to the 293X chassis. Nothing wrong with them if they're serviced.

Sanwa pfx swaps onto an astro ms9 yoke.
Is why I ask. Literally a plug n play.
Perfect picture.

So if I can get either yoke on a blast tube, would be great.

thanks a lot guys, i'll try to get those ms-293x chasis! is $200 a reasonable price?
