Hey AP community, I was applying some convergence strips to my MS9 and couldn't get one to stick because of what I thought was accumulated grime on the back of the tube. So I stupidly cleaned a small area with a few sprays of iso on paper towel, not realizing I might be rubbing off the aquadag coating.

I'm now wondering whether I've rubbed off some of the aquadag or whether this looks okay?

It's the left side of the tube that I cleaned, in the first photo. The right side, near the anode cap, is uncleaned, but I’ve included a photo of it for comparison. It looks like I might’ve scraped off some coating on the left side. Wondering if it’s a problem or okay? Feel like such a dummy!

Hi! :)

Kontakt Chemie GRAPHIT 33 (REF.76009)

⚠️ Safety Precautions: GRAPHIT 33

Make sure to protect your airways by wearing a good respirator mask with a proper filter.

This product contains graphite, which settles permanently in your lungs and can never be eliminated by your body. :S

For your own safety, always use this spray outdoors in the open air. It is best to do this during the summer,
as warm weather ensures the best possible drying and curing results.

There is usually a patch of glass near where the neck forms that does not have the conductive coating usually a square about the size of a small notebook. I would also say you are fine.

Thanks both! Appreciate the reassurance. Phew. Another chapter in the saga of me doing dumb shit with my cab without realizing… anything I should keep an eye or ear out for regardless while I’m using the cab in the coming weeks?

Btw, would there be any value in having a “quick questions” sticky in both of the arcade help forums? Just for questions that likely don’t need to be discussed beyond a couple of posts. Felt a bit excessive starting a full thread just for a quick question like this. Though I guess it potentially helps with future troubleshooting if people are searching for particular issues?
