Hello, I'd like to announce the launch of our venture, COSMO-LOGI LLC.!

We're two Americans from Washington who relocated to Japan to go to Japanese language school and start up a company here, which we incorporated late last year. Our objective is to source, refurbish and export high quality arcade machines out of Japan. Our initial focus will be on CRT candy cabs but we plan to expand to whatever is available and has some overseas demand. We've just set up a website last week to start showing off some of the stuff we already have ready to sell, but we have a bunch more cabinets coming and also plans for cleaning, repair and restoration. We've got a warehouse and office in Saitama prefecture that we're storing cabinets in. Our hope is that we can broaden what's available for export beyond the few existing distributors that are willing to send out containers abroad, and help buyers know what they're getting before it gets on the boat.
We plan to start doing pre-sales shortly on some New Net Cities, Blast Cities, Astro Cities, some LCD sit-down cabs (Grigio, Vewlix, Noir) and a few dedicated games. We will send these machines to a logistics partner in the Seattle area where they can be picked up by buyers or domestic shipping companies. The target for this first container would be to send it out sometime in August.
Our goal is to provide a good quality of service to buyers so they know what they're getting into with regards to monitor burn, cabinet cleanliness, etc. Going forward, we'll be open to people's requests for finding particular cabinets or other stuff. We also have made some contacts here that may help with sourcing some more obscure or more modern machines. There's also a chance we can get a large number of used arcade stools at a pretty good price if there is interest in those.
We have quite a few more machines that aren't quite ready to post up for sale yet. Among those, we have secured a bunch of Aero Cities that are mostly in middling cosmetic condition but all have burn-free tubes. We're in touch with someone in Japan who can do a very nice-looking respray job and apply made-in-Japan reproduction decals. It will be somewhat costly, but if there is interest we will look into having some of these done -- probably about 9 to 12 cabinets. We saw an example of an Aero that's had the same treatment and it looks fantastic.
I'm attaching some photos of the monitor of one of the Aeros we got as an example, as well as a sample of the respray and re-sticker job.
