Hello, I'd like to announce the launch of our venture, COSMO-LOGI LLC.!
Homepage: https://cosmo-logi.com/
Twitter/X: https://x.com/gkcosmologi
Discord: https://discord.gg/sc55QD6Xht

We're two Americans from Washington who relocated to Japan to go to Japanese language school and start up a company here, which we incorporated late last year. Our objective is to source, refurbish and export high quality arcade machines out of Japan. Our initial focus will be on CRT candy cabs but we plan to expand to whatever is available and has some overseas demand. We've just set up a website last week to start showing off some of the stuff we already have ready to sell, but we have a bunch more cabinets coming and also plans for cleaning, repair and restoration. We've got a warehouse and office in Saitama prefecture that we're storing cabinets in. Our hope is that we can broaden what's available for export beyond the few existing distributors that are willing to send out containers abroad, and help buyers know what they're getting before it gets on the boat.

We plan to start doing pre-sales shortly on some New Net Cities, Blast Cities, Astro Cities, some LCD sit-down cabs (Grigio, Vewlix, Noir) and a few dedicated games. We will send these machines to a logistics partner in the Seattle area where they can be picked up by buyers or domestic shipping companies. The target for this first container would be to send it out sometime in August.

Our goal is to provide a good quality of service to buyers so they know what they're getting into with regards to monitor burn, cabinet cleanliness, etc. Going forward, we'll be open to people's requests for finding particular cabinets or other stuff. We also have made some contacts here that may help with sourcing some more obscure or more modern machines. There's also a chance we can get a large number of used arcade stools at a pretty good price if there is interest in those.

We have quite a few more machines that aren't quite ready to post up for sale yet. Among those, we have secured a bunch of Aero Cities that are mostly in middling cosmetic condition but all have burn-free tubes. We're in touch with someone in Japan who can do a very nice-looking respray job and apply made-in-Japan reproduction decals. It will be somewhat costly, but if there is interest we will look into having some of these done -- probably about 9 to 12 cabinets. We saw an example of an Aero that's had the same treatment and it looks fantastic.

I'm attaching some photos of the monitor of one of the Aeros we got as an example, as well as a sample of the respray and re-sticker job.

Wondering if you will be venturing into parts as well? We've had some vendors here go South when it comes to reliability.

I myself am looking for the non-vs version of the Blast City innards and marquee. Mine came with the vs. configuration and I can't use normal marquee graphics.

I didn't know you back then yet, DJ. LOL.

Interested in parts for Astro here as well. Just mainly looking for a front panel/shroud.

Lol lucky! Mine came with the vs backing, but no pcb or anything like that.

Thanks for the comments. If there's interest, we're open to selling cabinet parts as well, either through air or sea mail or including them on containers. We've already started acquiring some parts cabs or full machines that might be better to part out than try and restore. Some parts we'll keep around for our own use, but I don't doubt we will end up with enough extra to start selling them. Especially control panels, we'll probably end up with a surplus of used-condition ones since we plan to install new Alberto repros on the cabs that are in the nicest shape.

By the way, we should have the following posted up on our site once we can do some cleaning/testing/photographing: Pop'n Music (CRT pink cab), SNK Candy 26, Windy II, Vewlix Diamond Blue, Densha de GO! 2 SD, and more!

Congrats on the new venture!

I’ll be the first one to say if you come across a Q25 with rotate mech please hit me up 👍

Hello, we have another announcement! We have gotten an initial round of machines tested, photographed and ready for presale!

Right now, what we are posting is several LCD sit-down cabinets and some dedicated games. Namely 5 Grigios, a Vewlix L, an APM3, a Reflec Beat, a pink Pop'n Music SD, and Densha de GO! 3 SD. We have set prices and opened them up for sale on our site: https://cosmo-logi.com/arcade-machines/

We plan to send out a container with all of these machines sometime in August, so the estimated time of arriving in the US would probably be September. From our logistics partner's warehouse in the Seattle area, machines can be picked up directly or picked up by a trucking company like STI.

If you plan on buying one of the machines we put up for sale, it would help if you contact us via the website form, twitter DM, or through discord before paying so we can ensure you understand the timeline and have figured out a way to get the machine once it arrives in the US.

We're posting these up first because they were the easiest to clean and dial in. The LCD cabinets are a lot newer and less failure-prone, and were already fairly clean when we got them. The DDG3 was also in great shape cosmetically and barely needed anything. If you are interested in it and want more photos, feel free to ask. The Pop'n had a lot of dust inside that I cleaned out but is otherwise fine, with a surprisingly good monitor for a dedicated game. We also have a Vewlix Diamond Blue that's very clean and ready to sell, I just need to check whether it is JVS or FastIO.

We have a lot of CRT sit-down cabinets, which are our next priority to prep for sale and take thorough photographs of. First up will be New Net Cities and some Blast Cities, as well as a few Astro/New Astros. We also have a lot of Aero Cities with very good monitors that are in widely varying cosmetic shape, some of which we'll clean and put up for sale. We waited on these cabinets because we really want to be thorough and take our time with cleaning them, dialing in the monitors and making sure we don't miss anything.

Kevin here! I should mention that we've seen the requests for parts for Astros and other cabs and we're definitely strongly considering supplying them where possible as we do have a few parts-only cabs that we bought either without monitors or wiring (or sometimes even without some structural parts). The only issue is that for stuff like the full bottom front of an Astro, it will be very hard to ship them overseas on their own. This means that we'll likely have to come up with a solution where a parted out cab gets sent as a full frame with no monitor / wiring or whatever, and then split up by someone within the US. For things small enough to air mail straight for Japan, we can definitely handle that as well. Some cabinets that are candidates for parting out have unbelievably burned tubes with perfectly fine chassis, so we may also have some MS8 / MS9 / MS2930 / MS2931 / NNC Tosh PF chassis available for sale in the near future too. If you are interested definitely let us know either on Discord, our site, or by DMto @aperturegrillz or myself on here as well!

We also have some game PCBs that came with some cabs we purchased including Naomis, Sega Tetris, Gradius III and more. As time permits, we'll add those to the site for purchase as they can be airmailed immediately from Japan to pretty much anywhere.

As someone who is constantly trying to fix 2930 / 2931 chassis and/or import them from yahoo japan I'd love to get my hands on a guaranteed working chassis at some point. I also think that sharp (PNY?) had a fire so there's fewer professionals fixing them.

Your discord invite is expired, anyway we can get a new link? thanks!

Another update: we've got some more cabinets prepped and ready for presale! I've just posted:

Vewlix Diamond Blue
Blast City
New Net City x3

I also added an entry for the Toshiba Pureflat extended monitor remote board, which we can pre-install in New Nets.
We should also be posting some Naomi games and related items for mail-order before long.
More photos on the website!
