Taito Fighting Hawk
Taito Flipull
Taito G-Net
Taito Insector X
Taito Twin Hawk
Taito Volfied
Toaplan Rally Bike
Toaplan Snow Bros
Toaplan Truxton

anything I should prioritize on putting on printables? Most of those will require a large format printer. A few do fit on a regular printer like a prusa mk3/4 or a bambu x1/p1. I did print all of them on a bambu H2S.

I would prioritize any of the Multi(s) first. Any chance you could make a split version for smaller printers. I think that’s the biggest reason most people haven’t printed these. 3d modeling isn’t the forte of most people. Thanks

I'm particularly interested in the Jaleco MS32 cart case and the Psikyo SH3 (multi) case.

If you are able to share the source (as opposed to STL) for the MS32 cart case I may try and adapt it for the non-shelled MS32 games running the "dev" style cart PCB with removable encryption chip.

@HardAzRockz
Do you have any STLS available for that awesome remix?
Yes, I’ll post them. I need to add a few instructions with pictures about mounting the OLED and a few other small things if you’re using the bladeZX selector. Also this can be printed Bambu X1C with few changes to the slicer.

I went and did my own remixed cases for the ZN-2 for my Plasma Sword PCB and for TMNT2-based boards such as my Sunset Riders board, (modifed from the Aliens case) inspired by nnap's idea to have spots for sticker labels. I also added little recesses in the bottom to fit 25mm rubber feet. For the TMNT2 board case, the dimensions of my Sunset Riders PCB is the same as my Aliens case, except for a big ol' heatsink on the SSRiders PCB so I cut out a little bit of the case top's rim to fit the heat sink and added some vent holes as well. I also added CAPCOM and KONAMI indents to the both of em...the KONAMI one turned out sorta fine but the CAPCOM one was a complete failure...CAD isn't my strong suit eh heh heh....I don't have a 3D printer of my own so I had these printed by someone on Treatstock. The prints didn't come out as good as the Aliens case I got directly from Robertguy, but perhaps if I had my own printer and knew a thing or two about printing I could come up with something better. (Also this particular guy who printed my stuff forgot to pack the volume dial for the ZN-2 case as well as a few other small parts and I'm kinda miffed)

Admittedly these remixes are pretty hacked together and there are a few mistakes worth mentioning for anyone who wants to use these:

TMNT2-Based Board
  • Circular hole for Alien's volume dial is still in place and there's no properly aligned holes for the dials on the TMNT2 board
  • Hole for the 3P/4P harnesses is slightly misaligned
Capcom ZN-2
  • Bottom right edge corner of the case top is not perfectly flush with the rest of the top side and it'll print weird if you don't fix it
  • CAPCOM indent doesn't print very well at high layer thickness

The label sizes are based on the CPS2 labels, but the measurements might not be correct...103mm by 144mm for the main label and 65mm by 40mm for the serial label...anyway I printed some placeholder labels with my thermal printers until I can design some proper labels. But yeah. I also completely forgot to get a longer screw for the ZN-2 case as I don't have an Everten Stereo PCB yet. I think an m3-25mm should do the trick.

Anyway here are links to the STL files if anyone is interested.

Thank you Robertguy for designing the original cases!

These look nice!

For it to print nicer, never do recesses on the surface that faces the printbed. The printer has to put supports there which leads to a bad surface. If you want to have an alignment help, just do a 1mm groove around where the label would sit.
