AVP demonstration mode help

Just recently picked up an AVP conversion cabinet. While I play, it displays the word demonstration near the lower portion of the screen. It seems that the cut scenes are in fast forward as well. I've been through menus, accessible by the test button on the CPS2 board, but must have missed something? Anyone out there have any idea how to fix this?

What does it say on bootup, or when exiting test mode, for the version and region? Like 940520 EURO for example.

Does it only appear at certain times? (Like when a cutscene is about to start?) If so, I think this is normal. Mine does this as well, like right when the first level is about to complete and the cutscene is about to kick in. It feels like a mistranslated word, and I was initially confused as well. Maybe the intention of the word is supposed to be: "cutscene is about to start".

As far as the cutscene playing fast, this happens on mine if you hold a button down while the cutscene is playing. Maybe you have a short in one of your buttons? (You can check in the input test menu and see if any of the buttons are pressed unintentionally.)

Thank you everyone. I checked the inputs in the menu and player 3 had a shorted button. Which explains the fast forward during cut scenes. And watching a playthough again, I did see that "demonstration" normally appears.
