Blast City / Astro City / Astro City 2 / NNC - Restorations

Downloaded Swirl for gdemu. Had some issues with it crashing when trying to choose gdmenu and list views but that seems to have been corrected in the new version.

Pretty neat.

Grabbed this guy for the Mistercade v2 for my Aero Table. I think color scheme matches the cabinet and Mistercade quite well.

Sweet! Need to figure out how to adjust focus and brightness while the machine is on without dying

I think I am having sync issues the image moves up about 1.5 inches from the bottom (see the black area at the bottom) and then starts jumping around with these white lines. Is this a sync issue?

I noticed it kinda had these short white lines that randomly flash too like my Aero City monitor. Maybe I need to make an adjustment that will fix both? I figure since both ms8 26 that maybe instead of a defect or something I need to repair it’s more of a calibration thing?

ok so asked a buddy and he said those are retrace lines so I adjusted the PSU voltage down a little and gonna monitor how it goes.

Anyone know where to get this "wing bolt or butterfly wing screw" that holds the CP together for an Aero Table? Looking online but finding metric ones. I think but not sure its 10-32 standard at least from using the screw identifying tool thing at the hardware store.

Edit: Well I found my other wing bolt in my "misc screws" bag so now I have 2 so I might not need to go hunting for more at the moment. Who knows maybe ill stumble upon another aero table and could still use a few spares.

Sigh looks like the voltage adjustment didn’t fix my issue. Could it be a bad flyback transformer? Gonna try to adjust voltage again.

Looks like my pot adjustment tool isn’t narrow enough to get deep enough to hit the pot inside the PSU. Bought another one on Amazon hoping it works.
Adjusted a little with the power off with a regular screw driver still no love. Picture messed up after about 10 mins of being powered on.

Good news is the picture is pretty good I am not noticing any burn in at all and convergence seems good so far.

Adjusted vertical hold it looked a bit high compared to the marking on the pot. Should also test with a non mister device.

If you’re in the US try Ace Hardware? If not you’re not reach out to me with the details of that wingnut and I will swing by my local Ace Hardware and look for you.

I tried Ace Hardware first Woodward’s Ace Hardware in Santa Ana, CA but they just had wing nuts but not wing bolts with the screw part.

I found something similar online but they sell em by the carton.

I wouldn’t want to trouble you to make a separate trip, but if you ever are at a hardware store and see em let me know.
