I just ended up buying a BK-44 hv online (for cheap or just look for a deal). It comes with a voltmeter so you know if theres still remnant voltage remaining/discharge![]()
When cleaning my CRTs I usually wiped some of the grease off not realizing what it was for. Added some grease to anode cap area for the Astro, Astro 2, and Blast Last night.
Still need to do the NNC, Aerto Table, Aero City.
I took apart my CRT discharge tool a while back thinking all my cabs had bleeder circuits so I didn't think I needed it anymore. Pretty sure the Aeros will need to be discharged though because I think they lack bleeders.
Ordered an alligator clip wire because I couldn't locate my old ones.
I was looking at em but couldn’t find for less than $135. Maybe I can find a better deal one day.I just ended up buying a BK-44 hv online (for cheap or just look for a deal). It comes with a voltmeter so you know theres still remnant voltage remaining/discharge
Where should I apply this grease on my tube?![]()

Up and down on the shaft …Where should I apply this grease on my tube?

do any of your tubes need a refresh? If you need to disconnect the anode cap, might as well do other things while the tube is dischargedI was looking at em but couldn’t find for less than $135. Maybe I can find a better deal one day.

Yeah, I think I've seen another tip rattling around in the packaging. You can change the tip on the end of the probe meter. I think it comes with a flat metal end making it easier to get under the anode
