OK, fuck, a GnG board I bought but never got working 15 years ago, turns out the guy I got it from had12v wired wrong on the Capcom adapter.

It blew my NBA Jam PSU fuse 15 years ago , and blew my Blast City's fuse yesterday .

The Blast PSU needed a recap anyway BAD so I finally recapped it and the sound board. Used cap kits.

I got it all back in there (with new FA 4A fuse), hooked up a Naomi game + I/O and the red power LED won't light up, and I saw a white flash inside the machine and the fuse blew when I turned it on.

I replaced the fuse, and it blew again.

Light+monitor still come on.

Caps all are the right direction ;/

I'm really bummed about it. Is there a go-to thread on Blast power supply procedure ?? I know I should search harder but I just don't want to fuck it up more, and I'm hoping I didn't perma damage anything from that GnG board's 12v ;( thanks for any assistance.

The PSU even after the fuse blew is getting voltage , because I shocked myself grabbing the bottom of it by accident while plugged in.

Obviously this is not my arena, lol. But I can follow directions / procedure!

I haven't reverified all my solder points yet , but I just assumed it wouldn't work if a cap wasn't soldered right, idk why it's blowing the fuse every time.

I do have a sun power supply but I lik

e keeping that spare, and I can't use that to power the whole blast city anyway right ?

I don't know what the crap this even is. It had a lot of acid leak on it . Cleaned it best I could .

I mean it worked fine before with acid leak caked over this and the other caps ,.so I doubt this is the prob, but wanted to mention.

Cab's kill switch functions fine.

Aaegh it looks like I busted 2 solder pads!

I understand how to repair traces by cutting and finding the copper, but where TF would I do that ? These solder pads go nowhere!

A) would this be causing the fuse to blow , and
B) what's the best way of fixing this ? I ve etched into the board to expose copper and wire to the leg before for eproms , but I'm not sure what's best in this case or what trace to cut.

;/ thanks !
