Hi mates. If anyone in the States is interested, I just restored a Sharp X68000 model XVI in its original box. Working good and tested. I have an Ebay store and you may check my reputation and feedback. Here is the link. If you want to do PayPal family and friends you will save the tax and I will also discount the ebay fee they charge me so you can get it cheaper. If not then follow the ebay link if interested. Fair price given original box. Message me here if you want to make a deal.

SOLD. I think the price was too cheap. 😁going for another one next month if anyone interested.

The boxed one just sold was a give away. The XVI is the one to have and not easily come by. I have another XVI no box, but this time I will go fully and deep on the restoration. New power supply, fully capped, new and quieter fan. If interested we can work a deal off Ebay. Else the price will be similar to that one just sold. If anyone wants it, I can speed up the overhauling to the mid of January. If you want something cheaper you should look for the ACE, the Expert, or the Super models. The XVI just happens to be the king of the hill from this set.

Wait till you price what a monitor cost lol.
Or what it would cost if it needs to be serviced.
Oh, on this same note. Here you have the best from that time. By NEC, a PC-TV454/455 capable of auto 15,24,31khz. I have two of these that I fully recapped. I lost the count but I remember each has from 118 to 125 capacitors I replaced. This one I have it in TATE mode for the saturn shooting games. Check the amazing plugs in the back. You can directly connect any Japanese PC from the 80s and 90s (pc-98, pc-8801, fm-7, fm towns, x68000, msx, etc). 14-inch tube and the best display in picture, sharpness, contrast, scan lines, just anything no other 14-inch monitor can beat. Selling this one but the shipping is not easy. Local pick up is preferred....if the is another freak like me near my area 😂😂😂.

I totally wrote something I didn't mean to say lmao.
I meant to say " wait till he finds out how much it cost to find a monitor, and or service one.
I have a boxed XVI with, a boxed xellent30 , nec xp29, boxed monitor and 100s of games lol. I know how expensive xvi life is, I'm also in FM Towns as well

I got you. I have owned one xellent30 and also have a small library of games. The Japanese PC gaming life is pricey. 😁

I’ll bite… where are you located? Your profile just says “US”.

Just curious, can't you Americans just grab a plane? Shouldn't be too expensive and just a couple of hours of flight.

Edit: Granted the item is not too big.

if I wasn’t on the other side of the country I’d see if you would be interested in doing any repairs! Have a couple nec pctvs and multisyncs I’m looking to have restored.
Right, not easy nor simple to ship heavy monitors. I am sure there is at least one shop near your area that does repairs. Look into it. I have restored several chassis, more on the arcade monitor side. Good success so far.
