I’ve had this little project on the back burner for a while. Inspired by @Robertguy09 ’s cases, I designed a 3D-printed shell for the Brezzasoft Crystal System.

I still need to make one small revision to accommodate PCBs with the larger IDC connector (mine didn’t have one), but once that’s finished I’ll get everything organized and release the files.

If anyone is interested in contributing by designing a matching cartridge shell, that would be an awesome addition to the project.

Heres the files for the version without the IDC connector. I'll post the IDC version hen I get time. The IDC is next to the Dipswitches.
I used 4 M3 heated inserts, inserted in the holes of the top shell. Depending on wether or not you use rubber feet it will require M3 screws(length depends on if feet are used).

If I can suggest something, some boards (mine does) have a potentiometer to adjust contrast, at the top left (jamma edge facing you) of the VRender0.

Making it accessible while inside the case would be welcome.

Very nice work nonetheless, I will probably end up using it although I like the original one.

EDIT : didn't pay attention to your above picture being rotated, but you also have the potentiometer.

Also, I do have this connector as well

I’ll try to get to it today when I get home from work. I believe the wheel potentiometer on the side is for the volume adjust. If I’m correct this is the potentiometer for the brightness highlighted in the picture. You should be able to use one of the many holes on top to fit a screwdriver in there and adjustIMG_6024.jpeg

Quick update. I finally got around to making the cartridge shell for those of you that need one for the games that didn’t come with a shell. I printed the first prototype and need to make a few small adjustments so it will be released very soon.

This is the comparison between the original and 3.-D model.

I’ll be releasing three new labels
Donggul Donggul Haerong
Top Blade V/ Beyblade V-force
Crystal of Kings(repo)

Ok, made the adjustments and I'm going to release the files below. There's two Top shells in the zip and one bottom. One is regular and the other uses M2 heated Inserts 4mm in length. I haven't tested without supports but it was a PITA removing the supports around the vents. I''ll release the labels at a later date once i finished them. If you make your own labels the size should be 98MM X 14MM Enjoy! SCROLL DOWN A COUPLE POSTS TO GET FILES

Tried printing without supports and the vents kinda works but looks a bit awkward.
Might try with supports tomorrow

I didn’t even bother trying without supports. I also used a 50% infill. I can do another version without the vents. Also if you have a printer that can change filaments. I would try PETG with PLA for supports or vice versa. They don’t bond. I didn’t have any PLA since I printed mine in PETG. The reason I used supports is because there’s two vents, one outer and one inner. That’s how the original shell was. I can also do a version with one vent instead of two. I’ll upload those later after work.

I’ve implemented 3 different versions of the Crystal System cartridge shell:

  • Version 1: Dual vents. This was the original design, but it’s a little more difficult to print and will probably require supports.
  • Version 2: Outer vent only. This version should be easier to print while still providing ventilation.
  • Version 3: No vents for a clean, simple look.
The top shell also comes in two versions:

  • M2 x 5mm heated inserts
  • Standard M2 screws
There will be a separate ZIP file for the heated-insert version. You still need the other zip for the bottom half of the shell.

I’ve also included a separate ZIP file for the labels. The labels are provided as PDF file and should be printed at Actual Size (100%). Do not use “Fit to Page” or any scaling option, as this will change the label dimensions.

Hopefully this gives everyone a few options depending on their printing setup and preference!

Thanks.
Think you could make a label for the brizzo multicart too? :D

Gonna try printing the single vented one now

I don’t have a Brizzo Multi cart(I want one). Pretty sure the shell would need some modifications. When I get a chance I’ll work on a label.

Both Top Blade V and the multi have a capacitor near the connector that is in the way for closing the shell. See pic.

Hey @buffi all my capacitors could be shorter in length and they were bent over by default. You could simply do the same. Probably wouldn’t hurt to replace it with a new cap while you’re at it. As far as remixing the shell for use with the multi. I would need a multi or someone with a multi would need to remix the shell to have access to the jumpers.
