Hi guys, I have a couple of F3 cartridges I'd like to convert into games I really enjoy, like this Taito Power Goal, which I'd like to convert into Bubble Symphony.
Since this is a new project for me, I've done a lot of research, both on the forum and in various MAME databases/drivers, but the only thing I haven't really figured out is how to locate the various ROMs on the PCB.
From what I can see, not all games have the IC number as the file extension, and the maskROM names and numbers seem to be inconsistent.
In the meantime I'm desoldering all the maskroms, and I'll probably have to give the PCB a good clean.

OK, I found the image of the Bubble Symphony PCB here on the forum. It seems to be a conversion considering the EEPROMs, but at least everything is a little clearer. I don't understand why there are four EEPROMs in the audio section instead of two (d90-04 and d90-05) like in the original ROM. 🤔

I finally got it. Although I'm still not sure how to locate the ROMs on the board...
Without the Bubble Symphony PCB image, I'd probably still be stuck.

Here are some photos of the PCB and the EPROM labels.

In the meantime, I also made bubble memories from a Puzzle Bobble 2 cart.
I wrote the 4 EPROMs, modifying them to immediately enable the extra mode (Thanks Pythagoras), and combining both the original version and the Black Edition version (Thanks rtw) which can be selected via a switch.
