As the title says, I don't play on importing a Cabinet for my NNC Build, instead I'm just relying on the following things:
- KW0606A Sanwa Chassis (on the way from Japan)
- A Yoke I just bought from Yaton, that is for the NNC Toshiba PF Tube
- And either my A68KZN969X Tube from my Grundig CRT (Blast City Tube).. this Tube can be used with the NNC Chassis, but b/c it's curved I understand it might not be worth the effort, as making the adjustments to the tube will probably be difficult.
The Yoke from Yaton arrived, can anyone confirm it's for NNC?
I've discovered the tube from a local Facebook Ad (Toshiba Blackstripe) has a tube that has the same neck pin out, and is considered a Flat Tube even though it's late 80's.
The only mild difference is the size is a 66cm vs 68cm of the NNC, and the anode voltage is 7000V vs. 9000V from the Blast KZN Tube.
I'm thinking about building the Sanwa Chassis into this CRT using the older Toshiba Flat Tube, I have an Isolation Transformer and of course the Yoke now. I'd probably paint it in a NNC Style and just enjoy it as it is. I don't really have room for a full Cab at the moment, so enjoying a multisync CRT would be a fun project until I can make room in the future.
All in all, I"m hoping that I'm not overlooking some basic functionality of the Chassis, for instance are the adjustments done on a separate board that I need to purchase, or is most of that on the chassis already?
Yaton Yoke left, CRT BlackStripe with Flat Tube Right. Sure the Tube isn't totally flat, but it's considered a lot flatter than most curved tubes.
