Buyee Japan not shipping semi conductors

Seems I'm the latest victim of this. Been hunting for a SuperH developer board, and one recently popped up on Mercari. Its my first time doing this, and Mercari has all these "Use our official partner, Buyee!" pop-ups.

Buyee orders it, takes pictures, add protective packaging, charges me for the intl shipping, and then I get an email:
This is Semiconductor Substrate. We cannot ship this. Also, due to our contract with Mercari we cannot redirect this to a Japanese address.

Has anyone had any success navigating this with Buyee?
I'm not even sure they'll return it to the original seller, at this point I'll do anything to prevent it from being destroyed.
update: Seems even when Buyee designates an item as "prohibited" and "marked for disposal" that does not necessarily mean they toss it in the garbage.

My original purchase was from Mercari back in the spring, but a couple weeks ago another one reappeared on YAJ.
I used someone else to purchase it and when they received it, it had the exact same serial on the box and still had the extras the Mercari seller had included in the original listing.

Everyone here knows not to use Buyee for electronics, but I'm hoping anyone who googles "Buyee Prohibited Semiconductor" in the future can find this.
Buyee wants to recoup their loss if they refund you, so keep your eyes peeled on the other JP sites... it might reappear somewhere else in a few months.

These websites are absolute dogshit. They are good for browsing Japanese marketplaces, but nothing more than that. Use them to find Japanese listings, copy the links of the original listings (like ones on Yahoo Auctions for example) and pass them onto your Japanese friends so they can order the items to their home and ship them to you safely. With a hobby as expensive as this one, the risk is REALLY not worth it.

Absolutely diabolical.

In reality, you're gonna have to compensate for your friends' time if you're constantly hounding them to do your little shopping chores.

I personally recommend a warehouse address like BlackShip where the handling fee is $1 per item.

Who said anything about hounding your friends all the time to do your "little shopping chores"? Why be rude for no reason? I help him get things from Europe, he helps me get things from Japan. I don't see how anything I said warranted such a passive aggressive response.

As for the website you just recommended, I've never heard of it. But I'll take your word for it.

BlackShip is part of Japanrabbit, a white-glove Japan shopping and proxy forwarding service. BlackShip gives you a domestic JP mailbox while Japanrabbit does proxy buying similar to Buyee, FromJapan, etc.

Japanrabbit are great for situations where the seller forbids proxy buyers but they have high fees. Their service is second to none though.
