OMG, I wish you luck with that size BVM, its gonna cost a fortune. I have been looking for one for the longest time, but most listings are in the $1K and up range. For that price I rather buy a complete cab.

I've owned 4 different 30"+ PVM/BVM's in the past 10 years or so. I think the most I ever paid was $200 (I also never sold one for less than $300, lol). Bought 2 in New England (ME and NH), and 2 out here in SoCal. If you keep an eye out and have patience, they're out there.

I hear ya, they are easier to get on the west coast for obvious reasons, I see a lots of listings for them but on the west coast . The east coast might as well be a vast empty desert for anything related to arcades and crt monitors. I have been looking for an affordable 32" bvm for a long time, if you happen to be selling one let me know :D

Derick2k - thanks.. they are expensive and most listing from eBay are in California. Shipping one of those is not an option since the shipping company will just f it up.

rewrite - I am very patient so no hurry here. It took me about 8months to get two mint Egreet II with flawless original monitor and original parts and it took me the same amount of time to find two Sony FW900.. no hurry and no worries here:)

That is awesome, I wanted to get Egret II cabs, but finding them in really good condition, stateside, at reasonable prices is just short of a miracle. Glad you got them. The FW900 are awesome monitors

just curious what is a reasonable price for you? Matsu was selling one back in April for $1100 with screen burn and not with original panel. He mentioned that he usually sell them for $1400.. i passed on that one.. at shumps a person in NY had one for sale for $1500, the panel he mentioned, that the original owner tried to white spray.. It was local sale only to NY and disappeared in ten days or so. a shmups member posted that he was selling an Egreet II for $1600 (has a special one player panel that a member wanted and wanted to trade his Egreet II, two player panel plus $250). I contacted him and he ended up selling me two Egreets II. The second one was for $1500. There were people lined up already to buy the Egreets II if things did not workout with me.

The story was that Matsu kept the best Egreets II and at some point had to sell them. A person in Florida grabbed then and started selling them because he was not using them much. From his last best 3 Egreets II, I got two and he kept one. If for some reasons I have to sell my Egreets II, I am not sure how much they would actually go for but I really do not like selling staff.. I like trading staff.

Before I got my 2 blast city cabs, I would have gladly paid $2500-3000 for an Egret II in mint condition, now maybe $1500-2000, just because I would like to own one. I would like to trade stuff, but right now I am trying to build up my collection. At the moment, the only thing I would trade is one of my Blast city cabs if I was getting another type of cab in trade.

$2500-3000 that would have been a big mistake but you know how it is here in our side of the map, any crappy candy will easy goes for $1200 and they do not even show up in Craigslist. If by any chance I decide to trade my Egreets II for some crazy reasons, it would have to be for a good collection of NEOGEO MVS.. what can I say.. I love the NEOGEO

Exactly, Its just so difficult getting stuff over here. My Blast cabinets fill my needs pretty well so far, I got the Vewlix for the HD stuff. Eventually, I would love to get an Egret II, solely because it a collectors thing for me. I love the design and the screen rotate mechanism is a super plus. I have the guy I bought the vewlix trying to source an Egret II and some New Astro Citys, I told him they have to be near mint. If you ever decide to sell one or both of your Egret II, keep me in mind.

"If you ever decide to sell one or both of your Egret II, keep me in mind" sure thing:)
