I have a A68KJU96X tube with no burn in the screen ready to be use on my blast city as tube replacement since my A68LBT696X is completely gone. I was wondering if it can be use along with a nanao ms2930/31 or 33 (have 3 chassis in total) with their respective yokes. No worries about fitting issues I know the curvature is not the proper to be use on a blast and it bezel. I’m just wondering if it works and if I’d have issues in the future.

The tube is the same pinout but assuming the A68KJU96X is from an MS9 or MS8-29 the yokes have different horizontal inductance values which are not compatible with the MS2930 chassis. You could swap the yokes but it would be difficult to get the alignment decent due to the very different curvature. If you really want trisync, I would just look for a chassis that's compatible with a .3mH yoke, like the Sanwa PFX or Toshiba PF series.

Have been so hard to get a good replacement for my blast i do have the same exact tube as my ms293X burn free but the electron gun is fried lol. My only chance is to use my spare ms9 tube and make it work. Im aware about yoke incompatibility with a nanao ms9/8 and a nanao ms293X and like i mentioned those ms293x have their respective yoke so no worries, in regards to image curvature maybe can be an easy fixed using magnet strips/magnet chevron around the tube i might be wrong

I have done dozens of yoke/tube swaps and my advice would be if you have a tube that's already factory set up, don't swap it and mess it up, get a compatible chassis instead. If you really want to try a yoke swap, hit up FB marketplace and grab a TV and try with that tube.

From experience I can say avoid Philips, RCA, Thomson etc as the bell shape is wrong and you can't push the yoke far enough forward to get good purity or convergence. Best picture I have gotten with the 2930 yoke swap is from a Panasonic M68LWF088X tube. It's a little flatter curvature than the stock Toshiba but has by far the best convergence and purity and setup was easy. Samsung A68QBT892X is also a good and very common donor. Hope this helps.

Oh that’s very nice info. Do you have any Tv models i should look for ?
