Can you burn roms to upgrade ZN-1/ZN-2 games?

I'm just wondering what this status is on these boards. Is it possible to burn say SF EX1 Plus or EX2 Plus roms to upgrade an existing EX1/EX2 to their respective plus versions?
 
I don't believe so. The main board is different between the versions not just the ROMs, there are people who have tried this in the past and I believe it ends up just ruining the board.
 
I think @pzlate is rather talking about modifying either a ZN1 or ZN2 to run another game....

I never got into that, but sounds like a good ARCADE PROJECT :)

I'd like to see those games running on a GNET though...
 
I thought ZN-2 games required an additional security dongle/chip that couldn't be copied?
I don't know anything about ZN-1.

Yea running everything on a GNET would be awesome Darksoft... So where are you with that? :D
