I think the Strider designer or director worked on this one after leaving Capcom.

Yep, it’s the true sequel to Strider IMO. I like Strider 2 but Osman is bonkers. Apparently there are some subliminal stabs at Capcom sprinkled throughout the game.

There’s also that “Untold History of Japanese Game Developers” Book and DVD that interviews the creator of Strider/Osman. The DVD is truly cringeworthy though, those who have seen it know what’s up…
