Hello Everyone -

Bounty: $1000 - $2500 cash for a collector quality machine that hits all of the things I'm looking for

I'm looking to add my first machine in more than 2 years...I want to get a nice "Collector Quality" Big Blue - Gen 1 or Gen 2 only, with Q sound confirmed working (if Gen 1, perhaps a stereo option would be nice, if not - it's not a deal breaker). The nicer condition the better, I would love one that is nice and turn key with a burn free rebuilt monitor. I don't need a PCB with it, but will buy it complete with one for the right condition cabinet.

If located in NorCal I may be interested and can utilize the services of Chris Fox.

I was looking for one when I first decided to get an arcade cabinet for myself. One of my coworker at the time had one and I always like the second gen Big Blue more than the first. I know it's personal preference. My favorite SF2 game is SSFT2 and the love the artworks and the design of the cabinet with the huge marquee and the world map control panel. One thing, that made me decide not to go with it was it's too damn big and super heavy. I end up getting the Atomiswave as my first arcade cabinet then end up with 2 Vewlixes. 1 Vewlix Diamond Orange and Vewlix C. GLWS
 
Well this one is far from my first arcade cabinet, and I have had plenty of sit-down Japanese cabinets. It's time for the US style stand-up to be added to my collection. If anyone in SoCal has one they would sell, please send me a note!
 
I currently have a Big Blue (not sure of gen, I am not super familiar with these cabinets) that was poorly converted to an Area 51 that I am working on restoring. Going through the WG K7000 on it and getting a new control panel made. If you're interested and willing to facilitate shipping I'd be happy to discuss price. The cabinet is in good shape otherwise. Definitely not 100% minty but it should clean up nice. If you're willing to accept it without a game PCB installed to save me the hassle of trying to get a board...
 
Adjusted the WTB description to include Gen 2 versions only. This is really the only version I want, it looks cool with the huge marquee and the sharkfinesque shape. Also added a bounty.

That's the best version imo. The huge marquee just like the first gen, but the control panel layout is less slanted. I hate the later version with the separated rectangular marquee.

Thank you both for having me in mind! I don't have facebook, but that usually hasn't prevented me from seeing the listings until now. Perhaps it sold already.
 
still showing as available, probably the reason you are not able to see the listing is because its posted in a specific FB group. So unless you join that group you wont be able to see it (my guess)

Correct. If it's listed in a private/invite only group you cannot see it even with an account. If it's a public group you just need a FB account in good standing. I cannot see it even with a FB account.

it hasn't sold, its posted in this group here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1342523339122471 and u need to be a member of it to see the post, group posts like that show up randomly in marketplace listings.

its listed in texas, being sold by this guy here https://www.facebook.com/imran.acosta/

and he is willing to ship it usint beltmann. so your best bet would be to have someone u know message him directly about the big blue sale and then just swap #'s if you want to see if he'll sell it to you. seeing u dont have facebook n all.
