Hey everyone,
Had this cps3 that had a stuck heavy kick input,
Traced the heavy kick pin from kick harness connector to array c6 , tested the array and it came with odd values so i replaced that but nothing changed , so now the culprit is clearly the DL-2929 , replaced that with one from a donner board , it worked to fix the heavy kick but now i had a different button stuck , removed it again and replaced it with another one from a donor board praying that it was good , soldered the new one and boom everything is good.
Hope you guys enjoyed this fix.

Great work, how did you remove such a large chip? Very interested in your method.
Hot air at 480 °C and go around the chip pins ( not over the chip it self ) then you put something like a needle 🪡 under one of the chips corners and keep moving the hot air and pry up the chip gently and don’t force it ( if you force it , you’ll rip pads ) , make sure the needle is away from the chip pins , when the chip pins are fully molten you should be able to pry the ship to the side , and done
