My entire Capcom collection was stolen a few days ago about 13 pcbs total.

I desperately need to replace a Capcom Final Fight pcb. If you have a working board to part with please let me know.

Thanks.

my storage unit got broken into in broad daylight during business hours. They couldnt cut my disc lock but they cut the hasp where it sits on the storages doors so I'm trying to see if they'll compensate my losses. They took so much stuff I don't even remember what else was there in the small opening towards the front surrounding the pcbs they took all stored in labeled usps boxes with anti static bags :/ I know they also took my dreamcast with marvel vs capcom 2 and 4 controllers including shenmue, crazy taxi and several others. They also made out with my SF1!!

Sorry to hear about that...

Do any of the games have any identifying marks or unique traits? Let the community here know, so we can keep an eye out for you if they pop up some place.

Also register your loss with local pawn shops and frequent Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, etc. where these could turn up.

Posting this on Reddit could also help as that community can be vigilant and helpful in situations like this. Hopefully you can get them back.

Oh man sorry to hear that, 13 PCBs that is a small fortune X(

As @djsheep said get the word out everywhere, don't forget KLOV as well. As above it also sounds like you were targeted, someone who knows you personally or has insider knowledge of what is in that storage unit, may be worth changing units on the lowdown.

I would have called the police and filed a police report..Storage units usually have cameras and maybe the police can help and talk to the storage manager to get video evidence if any. It definitely sounds like someone that knows you and knows what you had and targeted you. find a new storage place and move the rest of your stuff. I would have reach out to all my "friends" and let them know what happened and that the police are involve and that the police are reviewing the place serve lance footage and yes, I will be pressing charges.. that would not do much but it will scare the person that did it and I bet a shiny dine that it was a "friend".

i also alerted my local arcade gaming group that a bunch of capcom boards were stolen and to keep an eye out for any locals trying to flip capcom boards... i agree you should try to get some compensation from the storage facility. and unfortunately it does seem like someone who knows you and knew you had the pcbs there.

Sorry man, that's sad. As pointed before, I tend to think the author is someone that knows you.

This is another reason to keep a log of every PCB purchased, including procedence, repairs etc.

Can I make a suggestion? Take aggressive legal action against the storage facility. Fuck them in their ass. They need to pay.
Theft is par for the course for a storage facility. I'm sure the contract releases them from all liability.

The "desperate" need to replace Final Fight seems odd in this situation. My focus would be finding the culprits and, honestly and sadly, moving on perhaps without replacing the loss. But that's just me.

A solemn reminder to be careful with who you trust, choice of storage, and to buy insurance.

Well this is awful. First off, I hope you catch the bastard!

My storage facility doesn't even allow you to rent unless you either purchase their insurance or prove that your renter's / home owner's also covers storage unit rentals. I didn't realize that wasn't commonplace.

Police report, and ask about cameras at the storage facility.

Definitely post on KLOV. The community there is much larger, and this is a hobby based on connections. If your boards were taken by another hobbyist chances are pretty good someone knows them.

May I suggest from here on out, take pictures of your PCBs.
Having a credible record will help with all investigations.
If you have any identifying pics, post them so if they pop up on the marketplace, we can put out an APB on the seller.

Thats about the best I can suggest.
Sorry about your losses dude.
I hope you had some form of insurance on that shit.

This exactly. The need to run to a forum for Final Fight seems as odd to me as the person whom would steal circuit boards from a storage unit.

@Kidkaos That suks man, as someone that has multiple storage units, I feel your pain. I have never had something like this happen to me though. I always rotate my storage units within the facility. Not only because I take advantage of their promotions for a free month, but because I do not let my stuff sit too long because of the sketchy people I see sometimes on the neighboring units. I also do this whenever I have people come pick up stuff at one of the units that I dont know or trust. Also, I have their max insurance. Always keep pics of what you have, receipts etc..., get a place that has surveillance, most do. Also, like its been said, look to people/friends/etc.. that have visited your unit. Thats is your most likely culprit on the theft, because it seems thats what they were targeting, usually if they break into your unit, they will just wipe it completely out and just store the contents in another unit in the same facility. And finally make sure to visit your storage unit at least once a week, most surveillance system dont record past a few days let alone a week at most of these places, if they record at all.

Now, whatever your urgent reasons to replace a final fight board out if 13 seems a bit weird, but I guess you need to replace it cause you have sold it on or promised it to someone and now need to ship it out or something like that.

Good luck!

So I didn't think I'd need to explain myself but I will. My unit was broken into in broad daylight between 3pm and 6pm on the 5th. I have multiple units in the facility and never had any issues until this. This particular facility unbeknown to me has over 20+ cameras yet NONE record ( bs if you ask me) my lock could not be removed so they proceeded to cut the hasp/clasp off and took everything they could carry out (boxes, game consoles etc) and my 13 + pcbs including a Final Fight I need to replace as I was in the process of selling a lot of complete machines previously to the pcbs being swiped and I stored all my pcbs in anti static bags inside usps boxes which they took every pcb I owned that wasnt in the cab already. With that being said the person who did it has been narrowed down, police report was made along with insurance claim that I have but this most likely will be settled in small claims after a 6 week wait period. There are members here who know me irl and have been to said unit but the culprit has been narrowed to an individual by the name of David Tigner who was the last person at my unit and harrassed me and my girlfriend days before the break in about getting his money back by any means due to a transaction months ago on a machine I sold him as is and was working perfectly but demanded a refund once he had an issue at his location. I hope to recover some of my property and those judging without knowing I hope you don't go through this. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Hope you get your stuff back man. I've met some cool people in my travels as an arcade whisperer in our parts. I have some cachet with them and have put the word out for ya.

I'm buying you a drink next time I see you.
