Hello guys

Has anyone caught up with the same problem in the namco 369 Tekken Tag 2 that has 1-13 coin error 3 ( coin unit 1 )

When I use the saga i/o rev b no error in the screen and the coin switch or credit is working

But when using the rev A i/o the coin error appears and you cannot flip credits

Any solution that can be help to make the SEGA REV A board to use without the coin error

Thanks

maybe it's not the board rev itself, but the function of those 2 bodge resistors lower-center of the board

the coin error happens because a coin meter/counter isn’t connected. Some JVS I/O boards have this issue. My Namco JVS had it. You can connect a coin counter and the error message will disappear or solder a zener diode across the coin counter wire and 12v to bypass the error. Extremely easy fix.

Pinout Franco please hehehe

2 resistors added to the rev B board in the foto,
try adding the same value resistors across the coin-counter contacts of the rev A

If the battery error always pop up when boot and replace new coin battery what will be the problem in the 369?

trace the battery contacts and check the diodes and other stuff

There are 2 coin batteries that the system uses, one on the Namco board and the other is on the PlayStation 3 board itself. If you get a battery error, I might as well replace both batteries. After all, they are probably around 10 years old by now.

Already change them both , but after a day or so the coin error prompt returns and And I already replace one in the playstation 3 motherboard

Hmm, seems like something is draining the battery quickly or the batteries aren’t great quality/old? Try the method @stj mentions and see if that fixes the issue.
