Up for sale is a rare, complete original conversion/hardware kit for SNK’s classic 1989 arcade shooter — Mechanized Attack!
This is a true time-capsule set, pulled directly from a single-owner arcade cabinet that spent decades stored in a dry, climate-controlled room.
What’s Included in the Set:
1.Original SNK Mechanized Attack PCB Set (2-Layer Board)
Status: Untested (per forum rules). The board has not been powered on or tested since removal, as I do not have a dedicated test rig for this system.
History & Condition Context: Pulled directly from an operating arcade cabinet that ran until the location closed in the early 2000s. It was stored in a completely dry, moisture-free basement environment.
untouched: no missing chips, zero corrosion, no broken traces, and no soldering hacks/repairs.
Given its history and pristine visual state, there is a ~90% likelihood that it is functional or will need only minor maintenance (socket cleaning/cap service) to run perfectly.
2.Heavy-Duty Lightgun Set (Complete Hardware)
Metal Frames & Recoil Solenoids: Includes full internal metal skeletons and high-powered original force-feedback / recoil solenoid vibration units.
Internal Gun PCBs: Includes both gun sensor/control PCBs. Note: One board has its optical sensor present; the second PCB is missing the optical sensor (otherwise intact and clean).
Plastic Shells: Full set of original plastic shell halves (2 shells per gun).
Condition Note: The plastics show cosmetic wear typical for age — minor chips and cracks (all clearly detailed in photos). The small missing piece of plastic that broke off is included and saved for restoration!
Weight Notice: Due to the heavy metal internal structure and solid force-feedback solenoids, the gun setup alone weighs over 10 kg (22+ lbs). Please keep this in mind for shipping calculations.
