Hey!
I want to start a project converting Indie games to work on arcade cabinets and I'm looking for advice.
This may be more business advice but I'll ask any ways.
I go to a lot of Indie game showings and there's a surprising amount of them that I think would be great arcade games. When ever I ask "why don't you try and make this a arcade game" the answer I get is often time. There are others, but this is the biggest one.
Since I'm dipping my toes into codding and games I was thinking about making a passion project in helping indie developers code games for arcade and then building cabinets made to order.
But what's the best approach here? Should I offer to be on their team or should I build my own business as a "arcade converter"...(new name, still workshopping it) and go the route of offering my services to developers? Free at first, until i see its growth potential or we start seeing sales for the arcade version getting sold.
There's obviously more to this discussion but I wanted to start here and see what people say.
