Has anyone done anything with all this information?
This sort of combines my two areas of interest, I have a CPS2 multi setup and I build amps so I thought I may give this one a go with the information here. I have a few questions for anyone that may know.
1. with just a quick look this amp looks to have very low impedance (approaching 0) at some values under 100mhz this looks abnormal, are all of these components correct? or do I need to relook at my calculations?
2. I have drawn up a copy pcb for etching to start building one of these. On my components diagram the red I will likely remove in an attempt to run it off 12vdc from the jamma edge, it looks like this schematic runs off 13.5v AC is that correct? if I was to do this I may need to remove the first resister back from the power supply too (but I have not looked into this), and install a choke or inductor in the place of the diode rectifier in the low pass filter, does anyone know the type of choke used in the original 12v version of this amp? or can someone provide a good top down picture of the 12v version?
3. Can someone check I have all the components correct? this was hand drawn and while I have checked it, I am still not 100% they are all correct.
4. Does anyone know how this was mounted into the cabinet? did it have a case? I has a huge heatsink so I am guessing it gets really hot.
5. These diagrams are to some sort of scale but not actual size. can anyone measure the size of the pcb for scaling, the other alternative is to scale from the IC pins (the space between) but a combination of knowing the actual pcb size and scaling off the IC pins will achieve a better result.
I have provided my work to date, feel free to use it.
