CPS1 MotherBoard with big graphic problem

Hi

I have a big graphics problem with a CPS1 motherboard

I have already redone all the soldering below the PCB, many were broken, dull.

I used meters of desoldering braid to put back new tin with % silver.

sleepless night to do this

I use a functional final fight rom board as a test.


I would like to know if it would come from the CPS1 A1 customs by chance ?


And I wanted to know the diagnostic ROM Rom Test Street Fighter cps1 Eprom 23b, I programmed it on a 27C4096, and I would like to know where to put it on the Final Fight Rom Board ?

It could be caps. Have you recapped it.
It also very likely could be the customs.
Are any of the customs legs suspect?

If you have narrowed it down to an A board issue it’s the custom. Issues like these are one of 4 things on CPS1

1. A custom
2. C custom
3. Mask ROMs
4. Bad traces, usually on B board to interconnects

If you have put the SF2 B/C onto your working Final Fight and it works correctly - it’s the A custom
