CPS2 A Board sometimes missing sound

Hello,

I have several A boards that randomly lose sound, I have to turn it on and off several times and eventually sound will be back, but then the next day sound will be gone again and I have to repeat the process.

Is intermittent missing sound a known issue with CPS2 A Boards?

I checked voltages, reset the volume, checked wires, all the general troubleshooting, but the fact that this happens to 2 or 3 of my A boards makes me think it is a common fault I should be aware of.

I have the exact same issue with my one Japanese A board. It acted the same way when I used it in a cab and with a Sigma Supergun. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

are you able to adjust the volume up when it starts real low?
if so it might be the supercap-

I also once had an A board where there was an internal bit holding the vol - key, so maybe look at that
