CPS2 Coin Counter

Hi everyone,

I was looking to get info on the cps2 coin counter , some of my boards like SSFX have the counter, but most don’t. I assume it was phased out at some point because some service manuals don’t even reference it. I recently got an AVP kit that is almost complete but the board doesn’t have the counter.

Do folks know what’s the story of the coin counters? Also do folks know where I can buy replacement counters.

I have seen photo of avp with counters , but mine looks to have been a ssf2 that was converted to avp by capcom. So maybe by that time they didn’t include counters ?

Revision 7 boards are missing the 2 pin header for it. I don't believe any shipped with it.
I also believe in house conversions had it removed from revision 7 going forward.
They weren't terribly durable.
