The Multi-MVS brought me here, but I've seen some very COOL things! I'm hoping to get in on the next batch of RGB's HAS Superguns, so to make it really worth it, I need a cool multi... why not the CPS2?

I don't have time or skill to do any of the putting together of this, and I don't have any parts to start anyway, so does someone have a nice, complete working, clean one they want to sell? I'm in Hawaii USA.

Oh, and if you just read this thread, drop in and say hi and give your opinion on what I should be paying. I want to make sure it's a fair sale!

Mahalo guys!

Welcome!

The best price you can hope to pay for a complete ready to play setup is gonna be in the $550-650 range + shipping. If you get it below that, dont even think about getting it, just get it.

Thank you, this place is very welcoming!

OK perfect, so, uh, any takers? And by takers, I mean sellers?

Maybe it would be easier if I just bough the boards I needed and made my own multi?

I checked PA, but the multi is not on their website anymore, I assume this means it's sold out.

Do you guys think I should just get the other items first? What's the best board to buy?

Well you will need an A board. I recommend the us or Japanese one since they play both regions. Then you need a donor B board if you plan to install this. Some boards are better candidates than others but I think any will work, others will know more than me. So you could go ahead and get a game to play until the next multi batch is available. In the meantime maybe you can find other people in Hawaii who are into his stuff and maybe someone you can pay to install the kit if you don’t want to do it. Or you could luck out on eBay or here if someone wants to sell one. Patience pays off in this hobby.

as @Geddon told, japanese (green) and US (blue) both work on the same A- board, one of the best donor boards is Marvel versus Capcom, it's rev7 board, jumpers are already correct und it already has the G Pal installed.

You more or less only have to remove the ROM chips and install the Darksoft kit (both a bit scary when you do it the first time) and the you have to attach the key writing wires.

If you go slow and prepared it's certainly doable, even as a total noob (that means even i got it right)

Just be sure of what you are doing before you are doing it :P

Installing the kit took me one night (about 2-4h, i prepared the sd card beforehand), and apart from thoroughly reading the installation manual and watching some videos beforehand and during the installation i really took it slow.

It really doesn't hurt to ask here on the forum, they are such a helpful bunch.

I have never put my cps2 kits together, bought my complete setups from Darksoft and Mitsurugi directly ready to go and I could not be happier. Maybe message @Mitsurugi-w to see if he has a spare setup for sale if you don’t want to go thru the process of putting it together yourself.

Thanks guys! I live near a guy (http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/) who can do any major work needed, I was just hoping to get a ready to go set quickly.

I guess I will try and hunt down an A and B board as needed.

Can someone tell me the least expensive B board to buy? I don't mind having to do the jumpers and ordering a new PAL G chip, I just want something that is in great shape (looks clean and plastic isn't all messed up) and since it will be a multi, I don't want any expensive or rare boards.

Thanks!
