Do I need to extract the files from the RAR and transfer on the microSD or just drop it on the card as is?

Make sure SD card is formatted as FAT32
Then extract the RAR to the card - it should extract a parent folder called 'games' - it is very important that all the game folders sit inside this 'games' folder on the card

How do I format it to FAT32 on Mac?

Nevermind, I tried to run disk utility but I noticed on the bottom it said the format is FAT32. So I guess it's already formatted.
The multi doesn't like when a MAC is used to load the sd cards because of the extra hidden files that are placed on the card. You may need to clean the card with a different utility. I think there is info about it in the multi info thread.

One thing I did notice is that when I was extracting the files, I think it said one of the D&D games was corrupted.
mmm then you may need to download again.
