CPS3 Darksoft boot menu to blackscreen

Hi there!

I have a CPS3 that uses a blusczi sd card and darksoft security cart. After the SD card died, I got a new one and believe I have the right version of all in one CDs. However, after I get passed the darksoft bootmenu it goes to black screen. I tried rewriting the game to the simms and the process appears to go smoothly but eventually ends in a black screen after install. I reboot and darksoft menu pops up and then it goes to black screen again.

I can confirm it sees the blusczi, its reading the disks on the sd card. My board was working within the last year before my SD card died. I feel like I am missing something somewhere?

Addendum, I actually remember this happening at evo a couple years ago to a few of the units we(Paradise arcade shop) worked on. We ended up pulling them before the tournament began but no one sent me an update as to how we fixed it later. They will just install then black screen.

You probably have the standard cart roms , and not a custom sh-2 roms or vice versa. I get a black screen when i tried to boot custom sh-2 on my standard sh-2 cart. I changed my romset and it worked.

Also you must rewrite again to see if it works. Check what you downloaded and just put the opposite onto your SD card.

Specifically, that cart has the "standard" SH-2 so OP needs to have used the "standard" CD image to rewrite the SIMMs. If they used the "custom" image then that explains the black screen after region selection.
